Shenandoah Valley United and Horizons Edge partnership
In the fall of 2019 Horizons Edge began the journey to managing SVU. We quickly learned the longstanding support and partnerships established by SVU. Although Horizons Edge will be the home for SVU, we also are fortunate to have all the wonderful fields that our partners provide at Monger Park, Harrisonburg City, and Rockingham County.
Horizons Edge’s goal is not to just manage the existing programs, but to increase opportunities at all levels. We look forward to using all facilities to make the most of our programs and commit to enhancing all programs by committing resources to train coaches and referees. Investing in our travel program to provide more competition and skill development is a priority. By joining the Club Champions League (CCL) last year, many more opportunities will be available for all ages and skill levels. We are extremely excited to share that our Pro23 Club associated with the CCL will begin Summer 2021! This added program will raise the bar for soccer in our community and the Valley.
It is also important to mention all the dedicated volunteers and staff that developed SVU over the past 25 years as many invested and developed the vision to provide a quality soccer program for all. We are proud to share in carrying the torch to continue this vision. Moving forward with dedicated staff and additional resources, we will honor all the SVU families; past, present, and future. We have reset the vision to continue quality programs, manage all aspects of our club, and further develop advanced programs to make SVU the premier club in the Shenandoah Valley.
We invite you to visit The Edge and meet the SVU staff at the club’s new home. We are excited to provide our Horizons Edge Sports Campus for SVU to continue to grow as a club that all in the valley can be proud of.
