Nora Maguire White, Horizon Edge Sports Programs Director, inducted into Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame

 

HARRISONBURG, VA— Horizons Edge is excited to announce that Nora Maguire White, Horizons Edge Sports Program Director, was recently inducted into the Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Nora grew up in Port Washington, New York where she was a star athlete lettering in three sports and an Honorable Mention All-American in lacrosse. Later Nora attended James Madison University as a two-sport student-athlete in soccer and lacrosse. There she received her BA in English and Communications and went on to become a four-time collegiate Lacrosse All-American, a five-time US Women’s Lacrosse team member, a member of the US Women’s Lacrosse U-23 Team, a two-time Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Player of the Year, and the 1992 Female Athlete of the Year at James Madison University. Most recently Nora joined the staff at Horizons Edge where she now works to provide a place for Shenandoah Valley families to participate in sports.

The Horizons Edge Sports Campus is a one-stop destination for sports, events, banquets, meetings, tradeshows, parties, overnight camps, and much more. The field house consists of approximately 90,000 sq. ft. and includes 4-basketball courts, 6-volleyball courts, multipurpose/indoor soccer field, climbing wall and a family entertainment center.
