Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Horizons Edge

Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Horizons Edge

#AttitudePink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Horizons Edge has turned pink. Our #AttitudePink campaign is a community effort to raise awareness, but also raise monies to help fight this disease.

To begin, Horizons Edge will be partnering with several different local, women-owned businesses to raise funds for Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center. 100% of funds raised in support will go directly to the RMH Foundation and help with breast cancer research and local cancer patients. These companies understand the meaning of teamwork and have joined with us to do battle against breast cancer.

Donations for this campaign can be made by clicking this link.

Also, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be hosting a two-day volleyball tournament. Join us on Saturday, October 24th for our DigPink tournament for senior high school girls. On Sunday, October 25th will be a fun co-ed tournament for all skill levels and ages. There is a limit of 16 teams for both these tournaments including double elimination to double the competition and double the fun! Learn more and sign up today here.

While the fun and competition will be at an all-time high, thinking pink is the center point of this tournament. Proceeds raised from the DigPink volleyball tournament will benefit the Side-Out foundation who has been funding impacts on stage IV breast cancer for over 10 years. They too value the importance of working as a team, becoming an advocate, giving back to others, and taking the initiative to get involved.

We are proud to be working with our community in this fight against breast cancer and partnering with great organizations and companies to raise money and awareness.

Remember that together we can make a difference. #AttitudePink
